Cheese and pickle?! Basic...
apart from last week I have always watched Gladiators at around 7pm/8pm after recording it, before 6pm in real time is just TOO early
Why IS Gladiators on that early? Has it always been? If so, the slot isn't the reason for any downward trend. Surely it's not been moved to avoid Ant & Dec?
I think it's doing fine but if it is slowly going down, it's probably just the initial nostalgia rush taking longer to wear off than normal. I've loved it mostly, however I've missed a few and am in no rush to catch up. Knowing Gauntlet gets wheeled out every time brings on a tired sigh. I suspect they'll rectify that next series.
It doesn't help that it does feel smaller and cheaper than the original and I'm not sure the pantomime aspects really work in 2024.
As long as it doesn't keep falling it still feels like a big hit, with plenty they can improve on
I seem to remember the original Gladiators was on quite early, like 6pm-7pm but I can't be sure, this season one of the episodes was pushed to a later slot due to the RUGBY
They did just do some sketch of The Traitors though, and I couldn't tell who was dressed as her
I wonder how many viewers it will have shed after Sharon's departure. Or have they kept it interesting?Shame as after a bit of a slightly slow start this season of CBB has been serving LEFT, RIGHT and CENTRE!

So two weeks after Gladiators dipped below 5.5m for the first time, it's now below 5m for the first time, and indeed only narrowly above 4.5m. It looks like it was scheduled against the rugby match just above it, which probably explains it to an extent. The audience obviously didn't bother catching it on iPlayer, though.
I'd be very surprised if not - I just wonder if it has a future on ITV1 rather than ITV2.Enough to get another couple of seasons hopefully!
If that estimate is correct, that would put CBB about 400k higher than the second week of the civilian series at the end of last year - which of course was on ITV2 for the majority of episodes. As only one episode of CBB charted, I only have the full data for that one show. But if you assume the same uplift for all episodes, I'd estimate 2.378m on average.
Very good for them - and probably helped by lots of usual ITV viewers who didn't want to watch Big Brother.Love Rat did decent figures for 5? I do enjoy a lot their original drama like this - it’s undemanding but certainly hits the spot.
Oh it is utterly, utterly basic but as completely undemanding thrillers go - they seem to do the trickI think 'Channel 5 original drama' is a pretty terrifying collection of words, personally. I won't comment on Love Rat because I'm not going anywhere near it. I've been burned too many times.
How does Eastenders not beat Corrie? I just don't get that. It's a much better show i'd say
Even though EastEnders isn't perfect all the time, it actually seems to have some direction and something going for it. Whereas Corrie feels like it's just drifting along with not a clue what to do next
