The Celebration Tour 2023 (Greatest Hits) (1 Viewer)

Stuart is a great MD. He knows the right way to FIDDLE AND TWIDDLE whilst leaving the integrity intact and is a big fan of the 80s- there's nothing not to like here :disco:

Whoever came up with the idea of her coming out of a disco ball while images of her horse related broken ribs flashed around the arena is hopefully on her permanent staff.

Especially if you add in her and the dancers in fetish inspired gymkhana costumes, and you merge Come Together with I Feel Love.

Yes I think she will definitely play it safe and perform what it says on the tin - back to back hits with a few surprises

Did Stuart do the Confessions Tour? The direction and aesthetic was totally on point and raised the entire spectacle and presentation beyond the songs - this was an album that I was not totally invested in but absolutely loved the tour

That's the first we've heard from her isn't it? That's good, over the weekend I was thinking about how long she'd been silent and was getting worried.

Has there not been any setlist rumours yet?

I have a couple of friends going on Saturday, I’d call them FAIRWEATHER FANS and I hope for their sake there isn’t a 17 minute Rebel Heart / Madam X oldie but goodie melody in the middle…

After the health scare I think I’ll settle for any set list as long as she makes it onto stage in Lisbon in November to be honest, but yes we want nostalgic hits all the way this time.

It’s been surprisingly quiet in the build up, I’m not sure if I will peek at the set list or not yet after night one.

I’m going to be so gutted when it’s

But I guess it’s what the masses wants.

I've still not bought my flights.

Set-list wise I guess it will be airtight singles. I'd love for Rescue Me and Keep It Together (leaning into the alternate single edit), but I have no concern whatsoever (at this point I almost welcome her being a troll anyway).

Actually, there is one remix that I've long longed for her to open a tour with:

I dread to look at the responses to THAT question :D

oooh Mother, please do GayLuv
We want Holy Water bitch!
Please sing Bday Song cuz it's my bday!

Rescue Me is surely the one lesser known hit she might consider- she rolled out a touch of it on the last tour, it’s the one surprise she could pull off that all the casual fans would actually know and the mega fans have been clamouring for it.

Imagine that intro kicking in…

It would actually be a SPECTACULAR WTF opener. It fits brilliantly! Of course, in a fantasy world…

I hope she recreates the cape yank at the Brits if we're getting pop culture greatest hits on top of the hit hits. Maybe Xtina and Britney can join for one night and have Xtina cut away from again (a Lady Gaga cut-to perhaps).

Tickets seem a bit STEEP to watch her force-smiling her way through songs she clearly hates:shock:

I had a little peek at the tickets left on ticketmaster, only a handful for each date but they were £400 for the back of the arena and £950 for B block (side of centre runway near the stage)

They're not even VIP! You don't even get a TOPPY CARROT!

:YesIHaveDone:

You’d be better looking at European dates in terms of prices. My flight, decent 2 night hotel and ticket for Lisbon came in at under 500 euros total. We are in standing but that’s where we want to be.

So who's going? And when? And how many tickets... DAAAAAAD...

Seriously though I'll be there on Tuesday and Wednesday - would be great to meet up!

From Popbitch:

S Club start their already-fated tour at the Manchester AO Arena tonight, but opening night came within a hair of getting cancelled this morning. Not through any fault of theirs – but because of Madonna.

Madonna's been rehearsing in the AO Arena for the last week, ahead of her London O2 dates kicking off on Saturday – and things have not been going smoothly. Not only did she have to extend rehearsals in Manchester because everything had fallen so far behind schedule, they've been going on each night until 2am to get everything finished.

It takes about nine hours to load her show out (she has 48 trucks of gear) so there was a fair amount of panic that she'd over-run again last night and not be clear of the venue in time for S Club's load-in this morning.

S Club's crew were due to start at 7am. She got the last door of her trucks shut at 6:30.
