I don't really understand this. Olly sounds fine and Elton sounds... well he sounds like Elton John, and we all know what happened there. The crescendo around 3 minute mark is pretty decent, but otherwise WHY?

Elton sounded dreadful performing this at the Brits. I saw a lot of praise for it online though... somehow.

It’s been done for his AIDS charity. I just wish Elton didn’t insist on being on it, but I suppose he may have a lot of completist fans internationally and it would make more that way.

I like the music in this version. I can see why Tennant/Lowe had suddenly “contractual issues” shame tho as it’s doing well be nice for them to have a big hit with them on it

Also did Olly pre record his vocals because when I saw them live years ago he was horrific . Elton sounds ...I dunno..it’s just parody now

When Elton did that Covid telethon thing last year I thought he was debuting a new song called 'I'm Jill Dando' until I realised it was just that his diction has gone completely to shit.

It would have been nice if the Pets turned up as well but I quite enjoy this. Elton obviously doesn't sound good, but he isn't given that much room in the song to go and make too much of a horror of things. Olly doesn't really go off piste as he usually does which is good, I'm glad for the most part he sang it more 'straight'.

I thought Elton was friendly with Neil and Chris? The Pets should have had top billing - it is their song - but how many would even have registered which way round their names were?!

Is there ANY POINT doing singles for charity anymore, they must generate MINIMAL INCOME?
