愛してるって 言わなきゃ殺す
The charts really are so confusing these days.
This is like the episode of "House" where it actually was lupus...
I don’t want lupus to be #1

It's OK, it's low on streaming.
Voulez Vous
I'm not convinced it would have been really, as there were 7 different singles released - one was Voulez Vous/Angeleyes and another was Voulez Vous (extended)/If It Wasn't For The Nights, as well as five other singles from the album(ish). But for some reason both VVs were counted together.
I suspect it was the record industry rather than the artist or the fans, as much as neither would have liked it. But as I see a compilation album as being different, it doesnt bother me if it isn't #1 in the same chart or if it sold more. It doesn't make the status of the rtist album any less valid for me.
David Bowie is mostly number 1 on the physical singles chart whenever I look. Or indeed a Gallagher.
Yes and no, because if they decided to create the other chart because compilations were becoming too popular, then the criteria for the separation was simply because they wanted to have proper artists at #1. If compilations were selling less copies they probably wouldn't feel like they had to do that. I know it's their charts, their rules, but it looks all a bit fake to me. But whatever, no big deal, just saying.
Why is Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars back up to #4 on iTunes?![]()
Lord above, I hate Gerry Cinnamon.
I assume he's a local star?
So obviously the Ed Sheeran album came out last week and to stop the songs from flooding the top 20 like his last effort, only the top three selling songs count towards the chart. This however has had the rather ludicrous side-effect of disqualifying I Don't Care - the lead single and one of the year's biggest hits - from the chart completely, so its chart run is now as follows:
1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-OUT
Of course it's still getting shitloads of radio play so when the album hype dies down it will inevitably re-enter the top ten in a few week's time... I know we've been saying it for ages but the chart really is utterly meaningless now.
Apparently the Sheeran/Bieber song is back in at #3 in the midweeks![]()
I'm not sure they'll change anything now - increasingly the 'official' chart feels more like a BURDEN that the OCC is just putting up with.
I think they'd much rather throw together some hybrid compiled of Spotify and YouTube and have a chart that looks cool and edgy, rather than one that is based on quantifiable data.
Well yes, presumably as this album campaign proceeds songs will drop out and re-enter as they are pushed as singles, whatever that means now.The thing is, there's a good chance some Sheeran tracks are going to be disappearing and reentering the chart like that. What kind of joke is this?
