I do love that the distraction from Bozza's evidence to the Covid Enquiry has turned into yet another complete nightmare for them whilst not actually distracting from the enquiry.
 
I'm listening to Johnson's evidence just now - he's trying to shift the blame for Eat Out To Help Out, saying that he "assumed" that Whitty et al had been consulted. This isn't what he says in his witness statement, of course. Bastard should be in the actual courts for this.
 
You can’t ‘BLOCK!’ claiming asylum and I fail to see how you can ‘BLOCK!’ a court ruling that Rwanda is not safe (simply by entering into a treaty with Rwanda which asserts it is safe). Crazy stuff.
 
This is stepping into territory I'm unsure of. Can Parliament beat the Supreme Court in political top trumps? Isn't the Supreme Court there to provide FINAL rulings on such matters?
 
Parliament is Sovereign, it can theoretically do whatever it wants. It's just politics after that about the consequences, such as actually passing the act that would overrule the court.

Suella becoming PM would be a step so much further towards "Nazi country" that I'd start to take the thought of emigration pretty seriously

The latest seems to be that the far right are probably going to vote in through this evening and then seek to add ammendments to it at the next reading.

Basically, he's just trying to kick the can down the road.
