Looking like the breakout hit from the Deadpool vs Wolverine soundtrack (sorry Madonna)

#44 UK
#57 WW
#118 USA

It's very very very good (but not quite as good as I Want You Back, Tearin' Up My Heart or I'll Never Stop which are all TENS).

Pop was rather good too, but I think that one is more divisive.

They had some good ballads as well. Gone, I Drive Myself Crazy and This I Promise You are all top tier Cherion Studios.

I really like the gloopy sludge of Music Of My Heart too, but I doubt anyone else does :D

Ballad wise they were shit.

Upbeat wise pretty good.

BSB were better. But this does slap.

I love this, Tearin up my heart and It’s gonna be me but they’re all basically the same song

Name me a better ballad from BSB (apart from Show Me The Meaning Of Feeling Lonely).

I couldn’t think of one until Ellie named it :D

BSB were a bit shit with ballads too, but overall it just feels like their back cat is better. Admittedly if I was to rate, it may actually end up quite even.

I’ll Never Stop is so weird. I always figured it was a first album cut, but it was released in the UK between this and Its Gonna Be or just after? How weird!

I guess we never got it down under so it wasn’t ever in my realm, but it seems like such a weird choice from the other polished songs they had around at that time. It’s bloody blinding, though.

I was rather fond of the No Strings Attached and Celebrity albums because, although the bar was set so low for boyband albums, they were majorly rather good and above the rest. In the noughties having an album where 8-9 tracks out of 12 are listenable was quite a feat.

The debut was a shit show; so many skips.

None of those are Cherion. They'd be well done the pecking order if they had been.

I always had a soft spot for Shape of my Heart by BSB.

Cheiron never wrote/produced a N´Sync ballad IIRC.

They did tons for BSB, 5ive, and Westlife though.

BSB uptempos always missed something for me compared to N’Sync - the pop sensibility was just that little bit stronger. The BSB ballads however are often flawless. +1 to Shape Of My Heart. Gorgeous song.

BSB > *NSYNC
BSB Ballads > *NSYNC Ballads (Did they have a SINGLE decent one?!)
BSB Uptempos > *NYSNC Uptempos

I have nothing against *NSYNC, they definitely had some max tracks, but Backstreet Boys were superior by pretty much every metric other than ability to launch solo stars.

Best BSB Uptempo: Larger Than Life
Best BSB Ballad: Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely

Best *NYSNC Uptempo: Probably Bye Bye Bye, but as mentioned, that, It's Gonna Be Me and I Want You Back are all KINDA THE EXACT SAME SONG.
Best *NSYNC Ballad: PASS

Drive Myself Crazy (or is it called Thinking of You?) is an incredible ballad to be fair. Why it wasn’t bothered with in the UK is rather surprising.

OH DEAR

Who poisoned you @VoR

I AFFIRM VOR

Every N Sync release over 1999-2001 just merges into one

It's difficult to rate Bye Bye Bye as an entity of its own, because it just feels like someone put every other Max Martin production into a blender.

I just googled and of course Diane Warren wrote that CHINTZ dirge That's When I'll Stop Loving You :D

What was that one they did with Gloria? I swear whatever that was and This I Promise You are two of the most tune-free tracks of the era. Absolute rubbish.

Music of My Heart. That and This I Promise You are just Dawson Creek soundtrack bait. Both songs make Goo Goo Dolls' Iris sound like a Muse song in comparsion.
