I can see why you think that but it’s not a rip off since the format existed long before both shows. ITV have actually owned the rights for the uk adaption since 2015 and have obviously given it the green light due to the success of those other shows.

How do you know this? :D I can't remember talking about it here, but I guess I did. Yes, I watched every season, there were 3 of them plus an all stars, and this is simply the best reality show I've ever seen. And I mean EVER. If they bring most of the games/ideas from the original it will be good, but I'm not sure it will be the same, those Asian guys are just AMAZING. I recently watched another Korean reality and I'm fascinated by that culture, how calm and polite they are (yes, the opposite to us :D) If you don't know the original one you'll really enjoy this if they put a bit of effort to make something good. An absolute must watch. The original one aired 10 or 12 years ago, btw. If you wanna watch the original, good luck, it was so hard to find online, I must have the whole thing in a hard disc somewhere.

Haha you mentioned it years ago and I remembered because you were literally the only other person who knew of it! I’m actually quite glad ITV sat on it for a while as I'm not sure they would have done it justice back then but I hope they’ve realized that there’s an audience for game shows that aren’t really dumbed down and don’t fuck it up. 🤞

Oh right! So did you watch the original? So brilliant. And yes, this could be a hit but they need a good casting, that's essential. Suomi would be really good at this.
