With ESC 2023 season nearing it's end it might be a good idea to think about the future of the contest.
What're our hopes for the organizers and host city?
Should China, Russia or the US be invited as one off guest participants? Will Bulgaria, Luxemburg or Turkey make a beloved return?
What can the EBU do to encourage variety and competitiveness so that we don't always have the same artists or counties winning every year?
When it comes to hosting duties Petra Mede is seemingly out due to a combination of working for the competing TV4 and ever increasing back pain issues. Sanna Nielsen who was on stand by to stand in for Petra in 2016 is the hot favourite for next years hosting duties (with Sarah Dawn Finer again playing second fiddle). Måns seems like the obvious male counterpart.
