Christine McVie DEAD

Devastated. She was the PERFECT English counterbalance to Stevie and Lyndsey's American BRASHNESS. And her compositions for the Mac were generally underrated, even by the band themselves at times.

They're all dying all the cool cats :(

Oh GOD :(

I'm currently in (thanks to moopy and thanks to just revisiting them generally this year) the biggest Fleetwood Mac phase I think I've ever had, so this doesn't seem real. I guess I always thought in the back of my mind that ONE DAY I would see them live, and with Lindsey out and now Christine gone it will never ever happen. And it probably shouldn't now.

And Stevie did NOT just quote Haim's Hallelujah as a tribute

RIP to a legend

I never saw Christine live either. Big regret

Ugh I’m so emotional about all this. Crying to songbird on the bus earlier 😢

I am very much enjoying this picture though

This interview from June this year is a bit :( now

Mick Fleetwood has been open about his hopes to see the Rumours-lineup come back together for a grand farewell tour, but McVie is highly dubious. “I don’t feel physically up for it,” she says. “I’m in quite bad health. I’ve got a chronic back problem which debilitates me. I stand up to play the piano, so I don’t know if I could actually physically do it. What’s that saying? The mind is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Little Lies is the song I'm going back to currently. she just sounds so smooth. a great understated vocalist.

Songbird is definitely right at the EDGE of Harriet's RANGE.

It was supposed to be a Fleetwood Mac album until Stevie & Lindsey fell out AGAIN, wasn’t it?

At least she'll always have Moopy Fleetwood Mac singles survivor.

I had a listen to the Buckingham McVie album earlier. This one is lovely.

The boomer Facebook profile photo style effects on those photos though :D

There's one where they're holding plastic wine glasses with 'SEXY' written on them :disco: (but also  )
