Waiting for 8am so I can get this going on the Sonos (or when the downstairs dog starts barking away, whichever comes quicker)

A loving Robin S tribute is STILL BLACK!

I was thinking how what I really want from Queen Bey is a whole album where every song samples something from 90s female black house. Get her on the CeCe, the Crystal Waters, the SABRINA JOHNSON :disco:

Nah she’s a real artiste now.

The idea of Bey chasing a cheap hit to please queens stuck in 07 listening to Freemasons mixes and the Destiny's Child GH... it's a hard no from me. Keep serving us that ART Bey. We have Joanne for cheap gay bawps.

Come back to me in September. It ain’t gonna be Lemonade…

If she wasn’t going to cater for “the queens stuck in ‘07” she wouldn’t PANDER to them by making them go crazy when she performs the HITS at every concert. She went a certain direction with the last album but she will keep evolving. As I said earlier she doesn’t NEED to chase hits, but she does enjoy her status as QUEEN BEY.

Up my street, up my house and hopefully up into Robin S's bank account (I assume that's the sample). What a bop to drop and make my email stop.

The Scoop-esque bits (especially the intro) give an early 2000s radio rip mp3 feel.

8/10

Where Madonna leads at your Grandma’s door…

I like to think we are all enlightened here and do not hold a view that any female artist’s value to society is contingent upon age. The straight white male patriarchy is only too real and have not just kept down and added to the struggles of women but also our lgbtqa brothers and sisters for generations. Be the change you want to see.

Anyway, back to Beyoncé..
It was presumably a comment on this: :D

BAD LUCK BABE, you're clearly too old to understand meme references...

second listen - it's really quite a slog :D it just doesn't go anywhere...

feels like the production is doing double time to make up for the underbaked song itself

Is this a bit like when you initially hated that Harry Styles record?
