Guys I'm here for some national soul searching and commentary on online doom, BUT THIS SONG IS DRIVEL. IT IS NOT A HIT. IT FAILS ON EVERY LEVEL. IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY'VE FORGOTTEN THE ACTUAL WORDS AND ARE MAKING IT UP ON THE SPOT
FREEDOM!

I’m glad they’re going hard on the promo trail but who’s FUNDING IT ALL? Is it Andrew Lloyd Webber’s nepo baby money?

I still have haunting memories of poor Charlotte braving morning TV studios in places like MINSK and CHICHINAU circa 2008 in search of televote points that never came. :(

What did you just say???

They're undeniably much, much better than the song. That's the shame of it really.

It's just such a racket though. I can't imagine where the televote is supposed to come from.

Seeing an OG3NE-esque result for this one at this point. That only got 15 points on the televote, but it didn't really matter.

This sounds even worse live (not because of their vocals really... well sort of - it's like the sound levels are all a bit all over the place. They're mostly singing well (apart from a couple of moments) but it's HORRIBLE to listen to.)

And yeah I can see it MAYBE picking up a few points from juries, but I'd be absolutely shocked if it gets any points from the public. Surely most people's response when they first hear it is just STOP STOP MAKE IT STOP.

I don't love it but feel it could do OK

Can you put it in the first post as I had to wade through so much to find it and THAT picture of SCOTT MILLS makes me want to become an AXE MURDERER

Thanks loves x

Yeah Radio 2 support of the UK entry is pretty much a given to be fair - they even played Electro Velvet.

R1 support was only a thing from 2022-24.

And insuprisingly absent this year

Well you can't complain that they're not promoting it and that the BBC (or Andrew Lloyd Webber) aren't putting everything into the campaign.

I must admit that I wrote them off a bit too early in all this. The song is still a massive weak link, but I'm really impressed by all the promotion they're doing for it. Whether it'll make any difference is debatable, but if nothing else it's confirmed that they're great fun and very reliable live. Hopefully it'll translate on the night.

Yes you can’t fault the promotional effort or how much the group has thrown themselves into it. I have noticed it has been quietly creeping up the odds, not to the position where it is remotely competitive, but to a position of respectability. Let’s just hope for a solid jury vote.

The fact Moldova has better odds than us.

I suspect it is the BBC delegation, not for the first time, trying to be smarter than it actually is. Credit to the group because they really are doing everything they possibly can with what they have been given.

Something tells me they’re just going to perform this on the night on their own, in pretty dresses.

This is the sort of mad song that could be totally transformed with bells and whistles. It needs a big OTT theatrical performance with costumes and dancers and ridiculous staging. Otherwise it’s just a lot of disjointed harmonies and whiplash rhythm changes.

Something Alice In Wonderland would be good. Or Shakespeare. Or zombie apocalypse, anything!

I assume from the video we're getting full Bridgerton drag. They posted a video where they were rehearsing with two other people the other day so I assume we'll have some dancers at least.

I still have a soft spot for this but given the less than stellar initial reaction online of most others(and that most people are only going to see this once)..my expectations are muted.

That said its nice to go into the contest with no risk of being massively disappointed!:D

I’m really proud of you - I thought you were stuck just lounging around to Toni Braxton songs but now you’re starting to show the versatility and creativity that being a Eurovision fan rewards. May I call you Eurofunky
