MAYHEM live / tour thread

I didn’t have high hopes after reading stuff on here and Reddit but a few minutes before the artist presale went live I noticed there was an notification at the bottom of my phone (barely visible mind), scrolled down to see they had just added a third date in Seattle (a Saturday as opposed to the Wednesday and Thursday original date) so I opened up that link and ended up 700 in the queue (my friend who was in the original queue ended up being stuck behind 40 thousand! Plumped for front row seats on the upper level for about $165 included fees and ironically I’ve pretty much ended up with the same seats I saw Madonna in last year and they weren’t bad at all. Very chuffed!

I mean surely they will. If it’s actually sold that well they would be fools not to.

I’ve seen murmurs that she will add some California dates in LA & San Francisco after the Coachella exclusivity clause expires on May 1st so perhaps she might drop extra dates for the other cities at that time too?

I am sure a few more dates will be added, but if the plan that is circulating that after this album she's going to a do a GH then a huge stadium greatest hits before fucking off for a while to have (try) for a kid I guess it makes sense. For the last two tours its been basically...I dont want to/wasn't planning it but here it is...creates so much demand, clever.

To be honest if I were a single gal and life was different I would have taken a sanbatical
And done the whole tour with mother
But mortgage be mortgaging so there’s that

Rent must be due because Mother is gonna hustle!

Either that or she wants to get this shit out of the way to make room for a Baby Gaga when it all ends.

Well, it was nice.

SPOILER ALERT MONSTRUOS!

I honestly have no words for the first act. I’ve always dreamed of living long enough to see Gaga perform Scheiße and Judas live again (especially since she loves to disown her songs so much), and she delivered — even throwing in Bloody Mary and Abracadabra for good measure. My wig was gone. It immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a breathtaking, incredible show.

Vocally, I think Disease was her biggest achievement of the night. Yes, she did throw in some classy lip syncing here and there in some songs (How Bad, Perfect Celebrity, I think the most obvious one was Zombie Boy), but honestly? Whatever. We stan a Queen who knows how to pace herself through a long show.

The energy was insane the whole night. The crowd was loud — like, crazy loud — every time we got some interaction. Gaga was super engaged, tossing out Spanish phrases like “put your paws up” and “little monsters.” I like to imagine her asking around backstage for the best translations. It made everything feel more personal.

From the new album, Vanish Into You and How Bad Do U Want Me got the biggest reactions, especially How Bad, where she full-on cosplays as Taylor Swift, skipping around the stage and waving at the crowd. Her adlibs during that song were insane — such a highlight. I have a video I could share and post it here, I literally got shivers when I recorded it.

I didn’t watch much of her Coachella performance because I wanted to save some surprises for myself, but I did look up when Vanish Into You was happening because I had to catch the intro for my IG Stories (follow me for more Gaga-adjacent chaos). I kind of wish she had stayed on the piano for that one, though — running offstage for selfies took a little bit of the emotional punch out of it, IMO.

Compared to Chromatica Ball (which I also attended), she seemed so much happier this time around. Maybe it’s the engagement with Michael, maybe it’s just how healthy she looks now — but it’s a whole different vibe. Chromatica Ball had this darker, heavier energy (and she didn’t dance much back then, I guess she was still recovering from the hip). In Mayhem, the choreo is way more complex, and the whole show feels lighter, more playful — honestly, some moments felt straight out of her Fame era.

Also: she wrote a letter to the crowd, which someone translated into Spanish for her. And let me tell you — her accent sounded way more authentic than Selena Gomez or Karla Sofía ever will. Finally, we got the live debut of Blade Of Grass (dedicated to Miachel she said) which is a nice TOILET BREAK.

If you have tickets for upcoming shows: GO. This isn’t even the official tour setlist or staging yet, and it’s already iconic. You don’t want to miss it.
