RIDICULOUSLY sultry and fabulous song paired with the sort of video which really could only have been made at the turn of the millennium (Whitney dressed in nude beige-gold dress and boots that blend into the beige-gold of the studio, crack fumes practically seeping out of her nostrils whilst an uber-cool crowd of fashionistas and artistés is moved to stand up and CHEER for Whitney's ROUSING VOCAL PERFORMANCE :disco: x infinity).

RATE IT.

A definite MAX TRACK, though I've said it before - Too Gone Too Long by En Vogue is almost the EXACT SAME SONG

I love how it flopped for them but Diane Warren had such faith in it that she just changed a few words and tossed it Whitney's way :disco:

I've never noticed the similarities before. AMAZING :D

It's great, but it felt more of a re-hash of her early 90s hits than a proper millennium Whitney CLASSIC in its own right. Which kind of is my exact opinion of "Try It on My Own"

I gave Whitney a 10 but EV3 sprint way ahead from their middle-eight onwards. The video even has glass-smashing and a cameo from Whitney's crack smoke at the end.

giving this high cunt high drama masterpiece its traditional festive outing :disco: ugh. the luxury of it. quite possibly her best song of the 90s...

I kind of forgot about this song but URGH it's just fabulous. Just saw the video has been made HD - I remember it used to look quite fuzzy at the time so lovely to see it in better quality!
