Also I don't like what they've done with the shields this time - I much preferred the simplicity last year.

They are ultimately making a show to entertain the audience though. We only see sixty minutes of each day and that doesn’t begin to cover the constant individual interviews etc that are done each day.

A bit like Survivor, the editors will have the whole footage, boot order and winners all known to them before they even begin which will completely influence what we are and aren’t shown. In Survivor, the person leaving is often aware everyone is voting them and it’s a done deal but we are always shown two or three potentials backed with cuts of interview comments because otherwise it’s bloody boring for us to watch. So I’d imagine this is exactly the same?

Oh I've no doubt we miss out on so many possible threads and story arcs because of time constraints. They can only squeeze in a certain amount and they obviously have to try making it coherent so they'll choose the footage accordingly based on how they know it all unfolds.

That or there really are no other tales to tell because everyone really is THAT clueless and deliberately bumbling along doing a Meryl (which as it turned out was not so clueless after all)

The list of suspected faithfuls really does defy logic to what we're seeing sometimes though - Meg circles the drain from the VERY START for being quiet, meanwhile two people called Mollie and Evie somehow stealthily exist. Do we just not see footage of those two talking lots, or was Meg obviously suspicious because she wore GLASSES? Who knows!

Although she’s called Charlie, not Mollie (that’s another one who’s just there).

I've never seen whatever this show is about but they really should just cast everyone from The Gilded Age especially Carrie Coon and ENID

It’s certain photo formats I think. Unfortunately with an iPhone you can’t easily tell if something you’ve saved is a JPEG or something else.
