The QUEEN has gone and got herself a band and a new direction. And the new song is glorious, although did we expect anything less

New album is out in 2025 and they're going on tour. I'm tempted.

Absolutely loving this one. It feels instantly familiar but very much her.

The Attachment Theory don't seem to get an artist credit on Spotify, at least not yet.

Probably unsurprisingly doesn't reach the heights of her other trouble song but another good one:

Oh that sounds LOVELY (I wasn't a fan of the previous one)

And more than a little CMAT about it, no?

I've given it a few listens and I am still thinking somewhat of a mixed bag. The opening four song run is very strong though.

Same. The opening track is great and is probably the best of the new songs. Right now I’m obsessed with Trouble still, so euphoric.

I've heard "Trouble" a whole bunch of times on the radio this week & it's grown on me rapidly, is the album worth a listen?

It depends on your tastes really, first listen to me suggests the radio singles are the outlier - moody new wave music with lots of nostalgia but sounding very much like the indie pop of today. The rest of the album feels more punk rock influenced, grittier. Traces of PJ Harvey in places. Not really my bag but certainly will be for others.

Wandered in here despite knowing only 'Every Time the Sun Comes Up' and 'Seventeen' (like em both a lot, the former is surely sth of a theme song), and I find myself intrigued by comparisons with the Mama 🐐, Polly Jean! 'Afterlife' in the OP is very nice and I'm always on the lookout for a new cult to join, so will file the rest of this under 'to be listened' and hope it lives up to expectations.
