Absolutely shattered. A full week of working isn't good for anyone. I have two a and half more scheduled in, which is fantastic for finances, but less so for my achey weary body.

Will be booking a long weekend away, getting some new bedroom furniture and probably getting some theatre tickets over the next few weeks. Life's too short to save money.

Back off holiday and the works done on our flat haven't QUITE been finished so I've escaped to my office for an hour, though I'm not doing anything remotely approaching work until Tuesday as I have KIM WILDE tomorrow with OUR LOLLY, so I'm going to make a couple of days of it, have a root round the local charity shops, have some ME TIME and probably spend most of Monday afternoon in a lay by or two :disco:

@lolly - any good charity shop suggestions from Mr Lolly? I thought I'd obviously do Gloucester Road but then beyond that?

Gloucester Rd still has the largest concentration of charity shops, plus still generally having that 'charming' bohemian scuzzy vibe you know. When I go with him, we generally go up as far as the Cats Protection League shop near Bishopston library/old Bristol North swimming baths (sorry not sure what you remember), and then working back towards Cheltenham Rd/The Arches, near Plastic Wax (which I'm sure you must remember). There are a few outside that area, but it thins out considerably.

Outside of that, it may be worth considering hitting Westbury-on-Trym village where there are a handful of charity shops and nice cafes, and then perhaps heading from there the short distance up to Henleaze/Westbury Park, where you'll find a good few more on the main Henleaze Rd. And with all these both being very well heeled areas, you may get lucky in terms of clothes. I've never got into clothes charity shopping though so don't know if it tends to work like that.

Plus that would leave you ending up just on the other side of The Downs...

I've done so much hoovering today I actually have a blister on my hand!

I have managed to gain four pounds in the last fourteen months. Now 8 stone 12 pounds. Unlike most people I'm trying to put some weight on, shame it all goes to my belly though.

After having knackered my back a couple of weeks ago, this was the first day I;ve been able to lift anything and as a result, some cleaning has finally been done. Phew.
