Nu Funk & Nu Disco

I think we might be getting a new Roosevelt album... both dropped tracks are :disco:

I like, but don't love, all of them. Actually I do love Ordinary Love, even if it does sway slightly into Coldplay territory.

Here for the album though!

It took me a while to get to the Roosevelt album, being the week of the Kylie:

Though of the five new songs one is an instrumental and another is a glorified interlude, I think it is a good album. The other new songs are pretty much in line with the singles (Fall Right In has a little of M83 about it) so I guess if they didn't float your boat the album probably won't either.

Bit commercial for me but might have some fans. Catchy hooks.

New album from Dabeull, some of our fave Nu Funk artists have not been up to par recently @Jark but honestly this sounds fabulous on first listen :disco:

I didn't realise there was a new album from them, I added Eating Heartache this week.

Fantasy (track 2) is amaaazing.

Not familiar with them, but I do love a bit of handbag house.

I didn't know I needed a Matronix song in 2024 but I'll take it :disco:

I LOVE David Blazer and he's on a bit of a roll lately. Another tune

Ok now this is AMAZING :disco:

Sad news @Jark :(

I didn't even know Crazy P had a female singer, I thought they just used session singers. Also didn't know they had a reputation on the live circuit; wish I'd seen them live now. They have built up such an impressive catalogue over the years.

The Gavin Turek album has arrived and is excellent:

Back On The Market and Heaven Knows :disco:

I could do without the interludes mind.

HUGE week for this genre!

New EP from Jafunk, nothing groundbreaking, but all nice grooves:

My ASFM alumni is back with a new tune and it's even more Prince coded than usual

not QUEEN TONI just shitting out a random club track and not telling anyone! It's really nice

Tuxedo giving us the usual Chromeo sounding stuff. It's right in that early 80s post disco lane that I love

and more of that ilk:

This is the best Tortured Soul song I've heard in AGES

This is actually a fun album! Oddly so far I'm enjoying their groovy laid back songs more than the upbeat funk - Think Twice and Jake's Groove are both gorgeous. But the whole album is great!

Why does Crazy P always get it SO RIGHT? :o

I was wanting a radio edit at first until I listened to it a second time and realised the payoff after that build up... the climax is beautiful :disco:

I'm so glad this guy is back. His love and understanding of 80s funk is REAL. This is his best song since the one I sent to ASFM couple years ago. #

It's Flight Facilities. It's Drama. It's brought to you by Glitterbox. So naturally it was going to be :disco: :disco: :disco:

Haven't been as excited for FM compared to the last campaign but this one might have some fans here.

Four songs released so I assume an album is coming.
