I love these films, but the intertwined plots of the last few have been a mistake. The trailer leans into the fact that you need to know what's gone on before. Surely most viewers either won't, or will have forgotten, or just don't care.

I’ve become more invested in these films as they’ve gone on actually. Didn’t like the early ones at all. Loved the one that goes to Dubai. Really liked the recent one and looking forward to the follow up!

They're really good. I watched them back to back before Dead Reckoning and they really work as a whole. The story throughline starts with 3 and gets increasingly twisted as time goes on.

Ghost Protocol (the Dubai one @funky mentioned) and Rogue Nation are brilliant and better than 2 and 3 for sure.
