And we're down to the FINAL FOUR

@Kate vs @dmlaw
@Alex vs @Iguana

(five if you count the cruelly misruled @ZenGiraffe , six if you count the hilariously high scoring but ultimately eliminated @Indie, but I digress)

For THIS ROUND, it gets PERSONAL. THREE tasks, all linked.

1. Your playlist of 15 is from one of your own personal milestones. You have to pick a time/event/era/memory in your life, and tell the story with songs. The songs don't have to be from that era at all, but they have to relate to that era for you, personally or thematically, by your memories or experiences or whatever.

2. Tell the story. Supply a paragraph or two (or even a sentence whatever works) explaining the theme/time-capsule of your playlist.

3. This needs to be accompanied by a footnote playlist of FIVE Christmas songs. These 2 playlists needs to be linked by one song in each playlist - same artist, same song title, same theme, whatever. You decide. One sidebar - you cannot include a Christmas song that has charted in the UK. You wanna whore for points? Get creative (sorry for stealing, ASFXMAS)

But remember... :o you're still whoring for points. Make it personal, but MAKE IT COUNT.

You'll be getting scored on both playlists and your theme/story.

Don't say I don't make you work for the glory :)

(PS you can submit both playlists together, just keep the 5 xmas songs at the end.)

This round will not be anonymous. You can be open about your choices/story.

Did I ever tell you about the time that I composed a playlist of 15 wholly unlinked gay baiting bangers? It was a real personal milestone for me.

I'm not actually going to do that, at least not unless funky announces the closing date as Sunday, or something.

I should also be CLEAR that the Christmas songs don't have to be personal or relate to your memory. Just 5 creatively picked festive tunes, linked to the main playlist by one connection between a song on each list.

I do like to complicate things.

This is just common sense. Steel Bars is one of the five greatest songs ever written.
Jesus, you just don’t stop bringing the goods. Steel Bars is amazing and How Am I Supposed to Live without You is one of my karaoke favourites. If you don’t tear your larynx going for the ‘now that YOUR DREAM HAS COME TRUE’ bit then you’re not doing it right.

I have decided that I do want to contest the results of the last playlist game. I am the rightful winner, and as such, my place here is deserved.

My playlist is based on the important life event of joining Moopy this year. You have all brought much happiness and joy to my life, and more importantly, I have brought happiness to you all, in the form of three joyful little girls.

I wouldn't have given you all 0s, but if I had to vote Caramell anything would have done very poorly with me.

When you say a song that has not "charted in the UK", you mean Top 40, right? :)

Sure let's go with that. Just to avoid the OBVIOUS ONES.

It's only the Christmas ones that rule applies to though obvs.
