love the artwork. they're just... cool

Looks like all new stuff on the album and I like the ludicrousness of having (LA LA LA) in their album title.

REAL MOVE TOUCH is the one for you miss @funky I'd guess, but CONTROL slaps with that NASTY bassline

Oh Jarky knows me so well :disco:

I haven’t been too impressed by the singles so far but Real Move Touch makes me want to DIVE IN!

both songs are just *chef's kiss*. insane production. really fun vocal treatments. Tilt had a lot of filler but high hopes for when this arrives, finally.

I Can't Lose You shaping up to be one of the year's finest dance tracks for me, I love it a lot. at their best they're so tits :disco:

Don't you know you make me want to SCREAM! OOH! AAH! :disco:

REAL MOVE TOUCH is so good. 100% Pure Confidence Man Love.

final single before the album on friday

why can I hear Garbage singing this? total change of pace but great song.

I get Garbage in the chorus too. There is definitely a very early nineties indie-dance influence as well.

Hopefully the rest of the album can hold its end up.

It's probably more Republica than getting to the majestic level of Garbage.

Confidence Man are great fun, but lyrically you're going to get nursery rhymes (rave edition).

Yeah - my thoughts gravitated towards The Beloved, and also bit Stone Roses and Nine Inch Nails in the verses (although admittedly i've literally only heard 'Closer')

Yeah I can hear The Beloved there, definitely influced by that late 80s / early 90s acid house / alternative crossover. Also 808 State, Electronic, Liquid, and a bit of Depeche Mode. Nice!

I would say that would bode well for the album but we all know that no two songs sound the same on a Confidence Man album :D every song is probably a different dance genre...

god this is an absolute blast of PURE JOY from beginning to end

all the influences are exquisite but I especially love the ravier tracks - Who Knows What You'll Find and JANET are fabulous.

I had a quick flick last night and it’s all a lot of fun, needs time to bed in, but I do recall a couple of songs that have the most incredible production. Just a wonderful combination of accurate throwback sounds and big dramatic moments. I live.

This album is fucking brilliant. I NEED TO SEE THEM!

Backbeat is ASTONISHING. Give them those Papua New Guinea vibes!

I bought the reduced album (obviously to hold that top ten) from their website yesterday.

It is very good indeed but SICKO still has a hold on me. It does stick out in sound from everything else here, and would love them to dabble in this direction again.

Breakbeat is blowing my mind every single day. Control sends me somewhere else. the album is so good. a really energetic end of year highlight in a great year for music I feel.

that's hot. I'm blasting this album daily. it's weird but nice to hear Janet on something else...

is the Carlita album worth a go?

I haven't listened to the album yet, just Time and the SG Lewis track.

in the end I think 3AM took my album of the year and I'm glad it's getting a victory lap. cannot wait to see them at Primavera.

Oh I HEART YOU is good but HOME AGAIN is definitely the pick of the new ones. Properly uplifting.
