I am going to do things a little differently though to shake it up a bit and have been thinking of the following rules...

- There will be a THEME, so all songs must follow this theme. This will become clearer nearer the time once I have decided on a theme. An example could be 'Songs which mention a person's name in the title', so therefore 'Gloria' by Laura Branigan or 'Dear Jessie' by Madonna would be eligible. Or 'non Eurovision-songs performed by Eurovision artists - therefore 'SOS' by ABBA or 'Devil Woman' by Cliff Richard will be eligible.

This does mean you cannot just enter anything and you'll have to do some digging to find a song to fit the theme.

- To make things a bit more interesting, both the artist name and song title will be SECRET. Therefore no YouTube or Spotify playlists will be made. Each song will be randomly allocated a country, this will not necessarily have links to the song or singer but is just for identification.

- All songs will have to be sent to me via mp3, and then a download link will be posted for you to download and listen. NO discussion of who the artist or songs are will be allowed, but you can still review the songs, and say if you know the song etc.If you are not able to source a copy of the song then let me know and I will try to source it - there's YouTube and Spotify rippers etc that can be used.

I know this makes things a little harder but this opens it up to allow you to submit something which isn't on Spotify or YouTube or has a video, also songs which have a video and are on Spotify is an advantage. Spotify has LOADS but it definitely does not have everything, and I think people should decide their votes on the SONG itself and not be influenced by any factors.

HOW WERE YOU SUPPOSED TO DISCUSS THE SONGS IF YOU WERE NOT ALLOWED TO MENTION THE ARTIST AND TITLE?

That's why I nicked it, because it could have been so much more fun. Obviously he went on to do Kalavision, and we know how fun that was.

I really struggle see the world how he sees the world.

In my book, you don't ask people to follow all those rules, conform to a format that involves creative writing and then discard that with no apology or allowing those submitted entries to be used in the new version. Not bitter at all about that :D
 
LAST CONTEST I WENT FOR A MADE UP PLACE AND I THINK THAT WAS MY DOWNFALL
 
I will announce now that the running order was 95% decided by a random sequence generator. The 5% interference was JUST TO GIVE YOU THE BEST SHOW POSSIBLE and not have 4 of the songs with no videos in sequence.

I think there's a serious question about why your flag spreadsheet wasn't up-to-date and prepared for such a situation? I know mine is.

I had a dream last night that this was done in semis and I hadn't qualified. I was so fucking upset, especially when I saw what went through instead. I just COULDN'T UNDERSTAND. Worst nightmare of my life.
