I've always been surprised (but pleased) that Aplin didn't follow Ella Henderson's footsteps; ditching the earnest sad girl pop and instead becoming an EDM session singer for the hitz

She absolutely could pull it off though; albeit maybe more ethereal trance rather than Guetta bangers
