it's in my top 100 for sure but i was underwhelmed with it for sure for some reason. it's totally grown since and the magic is in the details and the sound and it's aged well.

still i was surprised to hear this was pitchfork's number 1 song. have they gone full pc music mode? is that what the kids are getting into these days?

i'd missed these despite being a fan of metronomy and joy orbison. very nice, especially the metronomy track - very shura!

That Metromony song has ended up being a massive favourite, after coming out of nowhere. It is utterly hypnotic. I wish I'd kept it to myself and used it for ASFM.

Also - check out the Cleo Sol album. It's exceptional. It feels like a real album, not just a playlist of songs, which to me feels rare these days.

This was definitely one of my favourite songs of last year! It's not really emblematic of the typical PC Music sound (there's none of the abrasiveness that I think can put people off), though it's a great showcase for how A.G.'s production style has evolved in the past few years.
