His whimsical illustrations made the already wonderful "The Phantom Tollbooth" even better.
 
I loved Man About The House, and George and Mildred. He probably deserves his own thread really but I couldn’t see a BBC News article announcing his passing.
 
I was always surprised when he appeared in something or I read about him that he was still alive. Probably largely due to Yootha Joyce dying so young a long time ago.

I didn't know he was married to April from Hi-de-Hi.

This will be bigger in certain quarters but the leader of the great Pere Ubu is gone. A famously truculent bugger, he was nonetheless an extraordinary artist and a tremendously influential figure.
