Random Kylie 2024 stuff

16 years later and I've just realised that Kylie sings "The spotlight's on," in Wow.
 
Strict Machine by Goldfrapp is practically a carbon copy of 2 Hearts by Kylie.
 
There are rumblings that a tour is going to be announced on the 20th of this month.

Press reporting today that it'll be her most extensive UK tour ever, which is good to hear because I'm already dreading the thought of what the rush for tickets is going to be like.


 
quite remarkable that she has the power to do this now after failing to sell out some venues of the fairly limited Kiss Me Once tour. the last decade has been great for Kylie's legacy.
 
Did she do a full, large-scale tour for every album release from Light Years through Golden?

Unsurprising if KMO was a bit of a flop if that was the case. At that point most people who wanted to would have had ample opportunity to see her, and that was a terrible, hit-free album that was never going to have much pull with casuals. :D

Honestly not worth the effort in seeking it out.
 
She doesn't sound that bad, apart from a few bum notes. The song is just garbage.

I thought the exact opposite! The backing track is so distracting and cheap. Obviously it's not finished but I think with some polished production it could be... Something
 
Well, probably what we are both trying to say is that the backing track doesn't match the actual song.
So, this is like mixing the backing track of Can't get you out of my head with the vocals from Flower

Still my favourite Kylie album and contains my all time favourite Kylie song, Dangerous Game.

Yeah, I honestly don’t understand her logic when she only pronounces it ONE way in the song.

Also her impression of a 5 year old British boy is cute AF.
 
Edith Piaf pronounced it closer to PadAM so maybe she doesn't want to upset the little chansonsters.
