Adele - 30

I've tried to listen to '30' a couple of times now as I own all her other albums (and quite like bits of them), but couldn't get any further than track three where she's talking to her kid about her divorce. The effort of choking back copious amounts of vomit was certainly a change from the tedium that had begun to set in, but I'm sure that's not quite the reaction she was going for. I'm afraid I'm rather bored of her now. I've said it before (possibly not on here though) but she needs a good night out with Kylie, taking (the equally eternally depressed) Gabrielle with her and to come back with something that won't have me running a bath and reaching for razor blades.

I hate that talking kid track. Some moopers liked it. I heard it once the day it came out and haven't been back to it.

The second half of the album is much better than the first I think, and Inflo definitely saves it from being a miss. I really like about 4 of the tracks, which is pretty much on par with her previous albums.

I just can't be bothered. For a fourth studio album by an established artist there's no progression, nothing ground-breaking or different, especially when I look at other examples of fourth albums by commercially and critically successful acts. Madonna - 'Like A Prayer', Janet's - 'Rhythm Nation 1814', Kate Bush - 'The Dreaming', Bowie - 'Hunky Dory' immediately spring to mind. ABBA, Prince, Britney, Girls Aloud and Rihanna managed to come out with 'Arrival', 'Controversy', 'In The Zone', 'Tangled Up' and 'Rated R' as their fourth album releases, whilst Adele gives us '30'. It just won't do for me, but each to their own.

I mean even Bananarama and Kylie tried to break their mould/formula with fourth albums 'Wow!' and 'Let's Get To It' respectively.

you didn't listen beyond track 3 but there's no progression? :D

what a load of shit!

predictably I loved the I Drink Wine perf at the Brits! she sounded fantastic and seemed very relaxed. that's talent!

I've heard the entire album, just not in one sitting from beginning to end. Track 3 is a major stumbling point and the album is too dull to want to listen to it all in one go.

Getting engaged to a guy she's dated 6 months with the ink on her failed marriage divorce papers not even dry.

What could possibly go wrong?

interest combination of misogyny and Donald Trump provocative tweet energy radiating from this post.

No sign of the promised rescheduled Las Vegas dates. What a surprise. I guess they'll go the same way as the promised rescheduled London dates that never happened.

She doesn't want to do Vegas, she never did and every excuse and promise has been a massive lie. Not that this is breaking news, we knew this in January.

Success-wise, 25 feels more like her Artpop than her Joanne. One big hit but mostly selling to existing fans
