Really, we had a FANTASTIC set of songs sent to us. That there were some iconic moments among the ones that never even made it out of the heats tells you how good the field was.

Anyone who made it to the final did really well, IMO.

This is how the heats were allocated. The pink post-its were female pop songs of some guise, the green post-its were songs that were slightly off-kilter or the only type of their genre, and the plain post-it notes were the male vocal pop songs I was THRILLED to have @Pingu ’s Todrick Hall submission in the last moments.

The first heat was intended to have songs that were somewhat familiar in the ASFM-verse, the second heat were your misfits, the third heat was a pop bonanza and the fourth heat was intended to be the strongest. The four girlbands had to be separated, naturally!

Before the contest, Buttertart thought @Penelope would win with Hands - No Romance, and I thought @Kate would win with Monsters, or perhaps @Diddy with RA.
