I'm confused, had she already miscarried and Ellen was badgering her about her announcing she's pregnant or did she miscarry shortly after the appearance? Not that one is any better than the other. Pregnancy is so confusing.

Either way glad she spoke out about it.
 
She miscarried about a week later I believe, and I think she felt she had to deal with that publicly due to Ellen making such a thing of it

I should have bought the Mi Todo CD single when it was released, must be worth a mint nowadays.

Which releases are Mariah's rarest/most expensive ones nowadays? It's probably that random Reflections CD single released in Japan only :shock:

Sony Brazil recently released a rare CD promo containing remixes of
'Butterfly' by DJ Meme (Marcelo Mansur). Less than 100 copies were produced,
which could indicate this item would be of a high collectable value.

Other very rare items include:

(a) The Spanish 1-track wallet sleeve edition of 'Never Forget You'. Very few
(in the order of 100) of these were produced.

(b) The Australian bonus limited edition CD, supplied with copies of Mariah Carey's
debut album (see M2(i)a for details). The set is very hard to obtain.

(c) The Canadian promo-only CD Unplugged- The Radio Special, which includes
music and an interview. The CD has a picture sleeve and a custom cue sheet.
It's rarity is indicated by the fact that it is currently valued at around
$US550.

(d) Underneath The Stars promo-only CD. This item is notably hard to get.

(e) Heroe single CD from Spain. Nobody seems to be selling these.

I believe it's a bit of both. I've read so many opinions on it from both fans and supposed 'sound engineers' and they all arrive at the conclusion that it's part playback part live.
 
The first minute or so it's obvious she's singing live but then she MASTERFULLY kicks into lipsynching territory at the 1.20 minute mark.
 
God, sometimes its just lovely to see her move a bit on stage. She really sold the whole thing.

It’s definitely a performance where she didn’t lip so much but I don’t think that climax is live.

This is the only one I think she does 90% of the song live bar literally the last few seconds:

 
You can always tell when she’s singing live to me post Emancipation because she usually looks quite TERRIFIED

This is the last time a totally live Mariah performance shook me (please don’t tell me it isn’t) 3.35 onwards

I think she delivered some really good performances during the Emancipation era, but she absolutely lost her confidence during E=MC2.
 
She still sang quite well in 05-06. I don't know what the hell happened around 08, because her vocals were abysmal during the initial E=MC promo campaign.
