Race Across The World - New BBC Reality Gameshow

Alfie still irritating me, but bring brought up by his granny, I'll cut him some slack. Plus although he annoys, he's the one who most seems to have a grasp on the fact THAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A RACE.

"I think we've got a bit more time to FAFF AROUND"

Well certainly more than our conker collectors.

I do like these lot so gutted for anyone leaving although would have slightly preferred Stephen and wife gone after just having a mud bath.

Does anyone actually have a map? Maybe Byrdie and Sharon could have sold theirs to the highest bidder.

Not surprised they skipped China. Same in series 1 wasn’t it? Or was it they just weren’t allowed to film?

I'm not enjoying this series as much as the last couple. I'm not so far really massively rooting for any of the pairs, the China business just felt a bit off in terms of picking them all up and dropping them somewhere else, and the hand of production just feels a lot heavier this time out.

It is probably my least favourite casting so far, but I am enjoying the trip much more than Canada which got quite samey as it descended into endless begging for lifts.

Just catching up on this. Bring back hanging for every contestant who says ‘were going to take it slowly and enjoy it’

ITS A FUCKING RACE 😤

I was going to ask have they finally got to a point where this show seems a bit more competitive or not… I’m guessing not then? I’ll continue to give it a miss then and stick with The Amazing Race.

Mother and daughter are seriously tetchy, brother and sister extremely lacking in funds.

And Alfie and Owen getting something of a winners' edit, although I'm not against them winning at this point.

The bit at the end was sort of sweet. Both of them can be quite rude to people though.

As a travel show, I think this series could be my favourite one yet. The stuff this week with the floating village, the MILLIONS OF FUCKING BATS OMG, and the killing caves was great TV.

I'm enjoying the rest too, but I'm definitely not finding the couples as compelling this year, and there's nobody I'm fully rooting for yet. Last year by this point I would have died for Cathie & Trish and Zainib & Mobeen.

The two boys are deffs my favourites (ever since learning about the little one losing his mum so tragically :() and for me they're easily the most likeable, but not the same league. The brother and sister are a bit too dense/bland for me to care, the older couple are entertaining but hard to love, and the mother and daughter need to get a grip

Thought that was another good episode! You cannot give this show shit for how it’s filmed becasue everywhere they go to looks amazing.

Was really quite impressed by James when Betty had lost the passports. Kept it cool, supported his sister and didn’t lose his shit. Glad they’re still in the race but not sure of that budget.

Isabel is getting in my tits

Again Steve and Viv growing on m, I feel like they've really fallen more in love on this and Steve has grown as a human seeing the world.

Do think the boys will win now.

Isabel is definitely the one most often at fault in their very regular disagreements.

Alfie and Owen's budget has got to be iffy as well. I think Stephen and Viv must still be a bit better off than the others but a proper update at the start of next week would be nice.

Yeah, watching them fall in love more has been wonderful.

I’d like to think that’s what happens when my parents go on holiday together but I imagine it’s just my mum rolling her eyes for 7 days.

Steve and Viv haven't been married since their youth, have they? I'm fairly sure at some point previously I've either seen or read that they had both been married before. So there's probably so much about each other that they never experienced. Because I suppose realistically you don't see that do you, if you only meet a partner in your 40s or 50s, with children, mortgages, established careers and the baggage of life.

It is quite lovely seeing them discover things about each other (and rediscover about themselves) they almost certainly never would had they stayed home in Rutland.

Yeah they got together later in life, and the trip really seems to have opened them up to the world and each other, I wouldnt be mad to see them win
