This guy is a legend and TOP TIER New Hollywood director in what is a CROWDED FIELD. I got given his autobiography for Christmas a few years ago as a surprise gift and I thoroughly recommend it if you're into 70s Hollywood. As per the above video, he doesn't MINCE his words!

Good innings too, and a new film coming out next month.

I was planning on rewatching Cruising soon as part of my mission to watch as many NYC movies as possible ahead of my trip there in 2 weeks time, but I moved it up in the schedule to tonight in tribute. It's not a perfect watch even from a camp perspective (some parts are honestly boring) but the key moments really are an absolute SCREAM.
