Looks very likely Vice has had it. An anonymous tip is flying around that the site will be offline and deleted imminently, emails have been locked, questions about the future being unanswered by CEO etc.

Vice News’ Top Editor Tells Staff He Doesn’t Know if Flagship Website Will Shutter

Editor Josh Visser said he had given senior executives of the company, including CEO Bruce Dixon, an opportunity to deny rumors the site was shuttering but he had not heard back, which he described as “very upsetting.”

I'm amazed it limped on this long to be honest, there are so many of these 2000s-era media brands on life support churning out identikit shit with all of the charm sucked out of them. I'll choose to remember them for dragging awful, Nathan Barley-esque London media cunts out to shithole towns in the North West to experience DONK and various other niche dance scenes and nights out.
