Decent for Grace, still never seen an episode. Do I need to start from the beginning?

Dire for Gentleman Jack really considering. Usually everything Surann touches turns to gold

I'm watching Grace. It's good, but not essential. There is a back story, but each works individually.

I can see BGT hitting X Factor lows in the next season or 2.

For my sins I have never actually watched a single episode of Silent Witness.

Hopefully LOVE ISLAND will regain its rightful place in the top 20 after yesterdays series opener.

Yes, it managed to hold up very well for a few good years after XF started to plummet, but it's clearly struggling now.

I've not watched it, but I've noticed this year that the majority of stories I've seen about it have been negative ones. Usually claims of it being rigged, or complaints of the wrong acts getting through. It definitely feels like people are behind it flopping rather than succeeding now.

Hopefully LOVE ISLAND will regain its rightful place in the top 20 after yesterdays series opener.
See my post in the Love Island thread - opened with the same audience as the last two series at 2.5m - but it always does really well on multi platform viewing and so I'd expect it to enter the top 20 with ease.

With BGT I'm interested to see if Cowell has learned from X Factor's DEATH THROES - where he kept mixing up the judging panel / format to zero ratings increase - and will just keep things as they are for future series, and accept the likely diminishing returns either way. Or if he'll still try to axe a judge or two in favour of a headlines-grabbing signing.

For some reason the chart on BARB hasn't included any ITV shows, and the other website (thinkbox) hasn't updated at all - I assume because the info isn't complete.

But I've thought I'd post the chart anyway as it reveals more shows we don't normally see, and if the data is updated, I'll edit it in a longer chart.

I've included all the Jubilee shows separately because averaging them would clearly not reflect how huge it was on the day itself. And I've included the BBC Weekend News shows separately because I'm assuming some of them are Jubilee related and others standard bulletins, judging by the difference in the viewing figures.

Full figures for last week were updated only a few days ago, but to be honest I forgot about it until looking for this week now, and now I can't ge arsed. The Britain's Got Talent final got 7.070m, if anyone is interested.

I started Sherwood last night, and quite enjoyed the first episode. Has anyone watched it all? Does it keep getting better?

I finished it tonight and fucking loved it overall. Easily one of the shows of the year for me.

Ep 1 and much of 2 I found a bit slow and almost gave up, until the ending of ep 2 really ramped things up a gear and it all clicked into place for me. Tonight's finale was a bit too batshit in places places for my liking (I wasn't totally sold on the PANTOMIME TICKETS PLEDGE-A-THON PREDICTIVE TEXT BIG REVEAL but there was so much substance to everything else that I can forgive it.

Love Island is doing really isn’t it! I wonder if they’ll plough on with a winter edition again or keep it summer only to give it space to breathe

Oh :(

I don’t think that’s good for it’s longevity
Most people I've seen on twitter seem to think it's a bad idea - although largely seemingly because the last winter one was largely viewed as a poor series?

I quite enjoyed the Winter season as I love the show in any form BUT it doesn’t feel quite right it being shown in Winter. It just SCREAMS Summer for me.

Barb hasn't updated with this week's chart yet. The info without non-TV viewing is available, but I'll wait to see if the full info updates tomorrow first.

Primarily for @Rita's benefit, as Love Island does disproportionately well on non-TV viewing. On the TV only figures, it's behind Emmerdale and Top Gear, but I imagine will be above both again when the full info is in.

We certainly can’t be having THAT!
