This teaser showed up on twitter a couple of hours ago. Apparently we're getting the new single tomorrow. :disco:

Wasn' expecting anything for a while...am expecting this to be more Stolen Car than Oui make non :(

I loved City of Love from the last album. As long as there's at least one melancholy French ballad in that vein with a suitably insane video, I'm happy.

PLEASE not in English, love!

Nothing to do with the new movie she's involved in?

I like it! There’s an underlying bit of THREAT POP from that slightly off kilter violin thing going on.

No announcement of why it’s out though- whether it’s from an album or the film...

It says on Spotify that it’s the first single from the new album. I couldn’t find a press release or something with more info.

I find the song a bit dull. It’s plodding along quite nicely but it’s lacking a typical Mylène hook. I hope it’ll grow on me.

Have you seen the trailer for that film yet? Looks dreadful :D

This is growing on me greatly. Beats “Stolen Car” and the Boutonnat by numbers “ a l’ombre” so as recent lead singles go good sign for the album. Hopefully we’ll be getting something up there with te Archive collabs on Bleu Noir

A l’ombre really took off live. I liked it before but seeing it exploding in the arena with that immense beat was really something else! :disco:

I can’t say that’s a massive shock but yes, Jesus, what a load of shite. I would go see it though, I confess...

I’m presuming this isn’t Boutonnat? I’m glad she’s branded out from him in recent times- “Monkey Me” was SUCH a step back...

No a French producer called Feder, he had a hit with this three years ago.

You can really see the similarities

Still no news on what this is all about, then? I wonder if it's related to the film (for which she appears to be shockingly getting really quite good early reviews...), given that no album has been announced...

On Spotify there was this small announcement next to the single cover saying it’s the first single of the new album. But there’s still no official news from the record label.

So in the latest RIDICULOUS twist of French chart news, Mylène is number 1 in France this week!

With "Libertine", which has been reissued as a limited edition 12" :D. Even better, she released three other 12"s as limited editions as well this week and she occupies the top 4 in the French charts!

"Rolling Stone", by the way, has so far had a chart run of 24-1-82-137 :D :D :D No doubt it will re-enter at the top when the physical single is released.

Vidéo première before the Voice on TF1 tomorrow...that seems rather a big deal!

I'm in a MASSIVE MYLENE MOOD at the MO, gang.

I may have ranked "Interstellaires" too harshly as well but I haven't played it in a while...

LIKEWISE, my Interstellaires ranking feels low. I shall dig it out later this evening and give it a SPIN

I was watching the Timeless Blu-Ray again and it struck me again just how WELL she does the tour thing as opposed to some of her contemporaries. I mean, some of the old songs are 'reinvented' but they remain faithful to the originals enough to give a euphoric sense of the original song.

The tour is also filmed beautifully and yes she's also had work done but there's none of that super retouching of footage.

N'oublie Pas video is over 600K views on YouTube (apparently much better at this stage than 'Rolling Stone' did). Too early to say if she has a crossover hit on her hands but it seems to be doing well.

28 September then. Album cover & tracklist below:
