An absolute masterpiece. Still sounds amazing today.

I remember Butler complaining that everyone who'd been involved in making that record had work coming out their ears - the drummer, the engineer, the string players...except him. His reputation was that he was a spiky character in the studio and maybe that haunted him. Still, a magnificent record.

Such a beautiful piece of music. Could only have existed in the 60s or 90s.

A shame neither went onto to have massive careers. McAlmont I particular. I guess that voice will only take you so far in 90s Britain as a black openly gay man.

I do often feel that Butler was a bit of a waste but he was very hard to work with, by many accounts. Jessie Buckley didn't seem to think so, mind you so one assumes he's mellowed.

One of my top five songs of all time. At some points it will be #1.

Utterly majestic.

I have a soft spot for McAlmont.

His album this year with Hifi Sean is very good. I also like his unreleased (3rd) album that I have somewhere.
