Album Remasters and Rare Tracks
Kate will release remastered versions of her album catalogue on vinyl and CD in November. This is the first (and definitive) programme of remastering and includes the release of many rarities and cover versions on vinyl and CD for the first time. Pre-order available from 2pm on 4th October.

The vinyl albums – all Kate’s studio work – will be released in 4 separate boxes, the first two on November 16 and the latter two on November 30. The CD boxes will be staggered on the same dates. The live album ‘Before The Dawn’ is included in CD Box 2 in its original mastered form.

The albums, many of which have been unavailable on vinyl for a decade, have been remastered by Kate and James Guthrie. Kate’s 10 studio albums are spread over 3 vinyl boxes, whilst the 4th box contains many rarities previously unavailable on vinyl, including a whole disc of cover versions. The total number of vinyl discs is 18.

The Vinyl Boxes will be;

Bit peeved that the aforementioned Lord Of The Reedy River is part of Box 2 TBH. I can’t say that I ever want to hear 50 Words For Snow again :boring:

Oh hurrah, they appear to be releasing the remastered albums individually as well :disco:

I didn’t particularly wanted the boxes so WELL DONE KATE

Also, nice to see that she’s been spending her time actually doing something (for once :tongueout:)

Perhaps Kate wants us to digest this remastered audioganza before releasing an updated greatest hits with DVD at some stage before the next blue moon :)

Several noticeable rarities missing from the second boxset too - Ken, Under the Ivy, I'm Still Waiting...

Well I mean you can see why she might want to brush that one under the carpet, given the whole antisemitism thing...

Is that the only one that's missing? There's 'Do Bears''... with Rowan Atkinson, which I don't know was ever officially recorded, and a few duets she probably doesn't have the rights to (Don't Give Up, The Seer etc.)

Maybe she's omitted Ken now that she's a RABID TORY!

Replaced with hot new composition ODE TO TEA. That’s TEA MAY OBV :disco:

Is there anything else missing for us to bitterly complain about (because I’ve certainly got a taste for it :tongueout:)?

There were some remixes from the Aerial project doing the rounds, but I don't know that a lot of her older stuff was really packing the dancefloors.

I'm having a bit of a B-sides and rarities sesh now.

I am quite partial to Kate's SLUT SHAMING anthem 'Ran Tan Waltz'.

"She saw me COMIN' for MILES..."

I danced with a nice man to There Goes a Tenner, back in the day.

I was going to say I was the cutie of the evening BUT IT TURNS OUT IT WAS HITLER

There was definitely a remix of Aerial by a fairly big name DJ at the time that made a lot of the 'I wanna be up, up, up on the roof' bit, but I can't find it on YouTube.

Some of the B-sides from her imperial period are INCROYABLE.

I initially cocked a slight eyebrow at the notion of dancing to ‘There Goes A Tenner’ (:D), particularly à deux, but then I remembered my theory that one can dance to anything and also dancing can involve lying on the floor and / or WILD-EYED STARING :disco:

Your theory might be tested if they ever finally release that oft-rumoured DJ Sammy remix of Waking the Witch

Well it’s only taken me 36 years to realise that the final repeated line of ‘Leave It Open’ isn’t something sung backwards in Yugoslavian and is in fact “We let the weirdness in”

Quite enjoying some of the internet meltdowns over the "missing" tracks...people laying an egg of a missing instrumental version of a KB song are missing the point by a couple of hundred miles.

Maybe she's omitted Ken now that she's a RABID TORY!

Or maybe it was knocked out quickly as a favour for her comedy chums and she doesn't feel it fits into a set of this type.

Well she included it in This Woman's Work so it was worthy enough back then! It's a cracking song in my opinion.

Did she have much involvement in that compilation? She’s only owned her own masters since Director’s Cut, right?

In any event I’m sure the fact that Livingstone is so toxic these days is more of a factor in its omission than any wider political viewpoints. Rather a few dozen hardcore fans grumbling online than ”KATE BUSH RELEASES ODE TO JEW HATING NAZI SYMPATHISER” headlines splashed across the tabloids.
