The jury vote was crazy for them!Switzerland 5th in the final televote must be the lowest a winner has ever been.
How is the San Marino televote made up again? 12 to Israel in the final, but they were the only country to 'snub' them in the semi final?!
The Sammarinese televote doesn’t exist - it’s made up by some undisclosed formula based on other “similar” countries (!)I don’t think that’s strange. After Thursday there was a big online campaign by the right wing to get Israel points. The San Marino televote is going to be small and easily skewed by a campaign like that.

It is still the case - the reason given being that San Marino’s phone network is indistinct from Italy’s, so you can’t tell whether a call is from Italy or San MarinoThat isn’t true, is it? They have done that before when they didn’t have enough votes (!!!) but that isn’t the case now, is it?
RAI wasn’t lying when it said the leaked Italian semi-final votes were incomplete. The actual order was slightly different.

Surely previous highest televote for the death slot was Dino Merlin 2011?Switzerland
Third win in total, tying them with Denmark, Italy and Ukraine. Best result since 1988. First time in the top ten since 2021, when they also won the jury vote.
Croatia
Their first top ten finish since 2001(!) and their highest position ever as an independent country. Their previous best was fourth place in 1996. They are the third former Yugoslav nation to notch up a top three finish after Serbia (2004, 2007 & 2012) and Bosnia Herzegovina (2006).
Ukraine
Their best result since 2024 and their sixth top three finish. Beats the previous highest televote score for a song in the 'death slot' by over 300 points. Fourth consecutive top ten finish.
France
Best result since 2021. Their sixth top ten finish this century.
Israel
Biggest Jury/Televote disparity ever. Down two from last year's third place. Their fourth top five finish of the 00s.
Ireland
Highest placement since 2000, and their highest scoring entry ever. Only their fourth top ten hit of the 00s (others in 2000, 2006, 2011)
Italy
Their worst result since 2016 (the last time they send a woman ). Achieved the same total score as Brividi in 2022 though, and extends their run of top ten finishes to seven, the best strike rate of any country this year.
Armenia
Best result and first top ten finish since 2016. Their eighth top ten finish overall.
Sweden
Worst result since 2021, but their seventeenth top ten of the 21st century. One of the better results for a host nation in recent years, though Italy of course did a bit better in 2022, as did co-hosting Ukraine in 2023.
Portugal
Their best result since 2022. After going 20 years without a top ten finish from 1997-2016, this is their third in eight years.
Greece
Best result since 2022.
Germany
Best result and their first time outside the bottom two since 2018.
Luxembourg
A left-hand finish delivers them their best result since 1990. I suspect they'll be happy with that.
Lithuania
Third year in a row of finishing in the 11-15 range. A slight comedown from the 11th place they managed in 2023.
Cyprus
Another country with a fairly consistent run of solidly mid-table results since their near-win in 2018. 15th is a slight dip from 12th in 2023.
Latvia
Their best result since 2016, but their lowest placement in a grand final since 2007.
Serbia
A modest improvement on last year's 24th. Konstrakta's fifth place aside they tend to qualify and finish in the 16-20 range, largely due to strong regional support.
United Kingdom
An improvement on Mae Muller's 24th place, and in fact our second-best finish since 2017. But that zero televote points will inevitably be the story. It's our third time suffering that indignity, though the first time the juries were at least somewhat kinder.
Finland
Bit of a comedown from second last year. Matches the total score achieved by The Rasmus in 2022.
Estonia
Another dip from 8th last year, and their lowest figure since 2021.
Georgia
They'll be thrilled to have returned to the final after so many years, but of the years they've qualified (which used to be more often than not) this is their worst ever finals performance.
Spain
Back to the familiar bottom five for Spain, their 13th time there since 2000. They did manage a slight televote improvement compared to last year with 11 points as opposed to five.
Slovenia
Slovenia's holding pattern of qualifying only to bomb the finals continues. A two-place dip since 2023 - they're still waiting for their first top ten since 2001.
Austria
Down from 15th last year. This is their weakest finals performance since they hosted in 2015, though they have also suffered three NQs during that time.
Norway
Notorious back in the day for constantly finishing last, they do so again this year, their twelfth wooden spoon in total, but their first since Tooji in 2012. This is their worst result since then.
