Quite a crap title but this is the best new comedy I've seen in ages!

It's about a gay teacher (won't spoil which subject) and is on Disney+

Just watched the first two episodes and enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to the remainder of the season. Looks like it's been really well received, too.

I’m playing catch up and I really love this show. I hope it does well enough for more seasons

It’s SO GOOD innit?

The lead/creator is very vocal on Twitter encouraging people to watch it, which makes me nervous 🥴

I stumbled across his account by accident, not knowing who he was, and very much enjoyed that his biog is "English Teacher fan account. also creator of the show English Teacher" :D

I watched three episodes in a row and I liked it. I Want Trixie Mattel as a recurring character please.

I was gooped at how funny that was. She makes an excellent crackhead.

I thought Trixie was terribly unfunny for a comedy queen

I'm quite enjoying the show so far though, it's amazing how far a bit of gay interest programming can take you

Anyway, I've obviously forgotten about this longer than I realised, as I see there are 7 episodes out there now, and I think I've only seen 3. Must pick it back up.

I finished the series today. While I really like the characters, the storyline really doesn’t do much to move the series along.

I like it enough to hope for more seasons but I think his writing will need to be beefed up to keep it going.

Strange he doesn’t really deny ANYTHING.

‘Yes I did suck him off on set but I assumed it was CONSENSUAL because I’d pressured him into sex before!’

I'm not sure if this makes me more or less inclined to want to finally finish the season.

I really don’t know what to think at this point. We have a theater group like this locally where it’s a mixture of sexualities and genders and they all seem to flow between each other. There’s always drama then they all get over it and then more drama. Most of us just ignore them at this point.

Obviously this is on a much larger scale with more issues involved but when they are talking to a spiritual guru or whatever he was I kind of checked out to be honest.

To SPECULATE WILDLY the impression I get is Brian is probably a highly charismatic sociopath who probably got the guy to consent to stuff he regretted later, but the on-set dick sucking is just clearly unhinged behaviour, that no-normal person, especially one who in the article is frequently described as ‘career-driven’ would ever think is okay, even with the consent of the other person!

Yeah for the first half I was like ”Gay millennial with complicated friendship with an open minded straight man? GROUNDBREAKING” but that little reveal really took it to crazy town.

there’s deeply inhaling of the balls for fun and THEN there’s deeply inhaling of the balls professionally
