David Warner DEAD

Oh I loved him, RIP :( He had so many great roles, but to me he'll always be the terrifying Cardassian torturer from Star Trek TNG (of "there are four lights" infamy) - a really nuanced and chilling performance, particularly since it was under quite heavy prosthetic make-up.

Sark in TRON was my favourite role. He brought a bit of gravitas to the white spandex costumes!

I remember he was in this really ropey Hansel and Gretel film that I was obsessed with as a child, which had a terrifying witch.

And he only had a couple of days’ notice for that role.

I just found out last week that he was in both Titanic and S.O.S. Titanic, a TV movie from 1979 (which I haven't seen, but since it features Cloris Leachman as Molly Brown, I will eventually have to)
