Titanic and Omen actor David Warner dies at 80

David Warner, who recently starred in Mary Poppins Returns, dies from a cancer-related illness.

Slightly miffed that the obituary did not mention my favourite role of his in The Man With Two Brains.

Oh I loved him, RIP He had so many great roles, but to me he'll always be the terrifying Cardassian torturer from Star Trek TNG (of "there are four lights" infamy) - a really nuanced and chilling performance, particularly since it was under quite heavy prosthetic make-up.

Sark in TRON was my favourite role. He brought a bit of gravitas to the white spandex costumes!

I remember he was in this really ropey Hansel and Gretel film that I was obsessed with as a child, which had a terrifying witch.

I just found out last week that he was in both Titanic and S.O.S. Titanic, a TV movie from 1979 (which I haven't seen, but since it features Cloris Leachman as Molly Brown, I will eventually have to)
