As a Boyzone ADJACENT fan, I can actually do a Top 10

1 A Different Beat
2 Words
3 Picture of You
4 So Good
5 Together (from Said & Done)
6 Key To My Life
7 Paradise (from A Different Beat)
8 All That I Need
9 Father & Son
10 No Matter What

I have to say I prefer early pop Boyzone. I couldn't really get on board with super MOR/keeping Geri off #1 Boyzone

After having endured the GH this morning, the only Boyzone single I have any time for really is 'Picture Of You'. Obviously quite a few of the covers are great songs, but their versions cheapened them all without exception. And a couple of the others ('Coming Home Now' and 'A Different Beat' jump to mind first) are really rather nasty.
 
I actually don't think I can remember any of their original numbers. How many are there?
 
Picture Of You is my favourite by some distance, but I've got time for around five or six songs from the Boyzone output. I thought New Beginning was a great pop song as well.
 
If some cheap bitch with bad teeth and even worse vocals had sung this it would have 170+ plays on VoR's iTunes

They're all pretty dire really. I've opted for "Isn't It A Wonder" on the basis that I liked it at the time, but couldn't relay anything other than half the chorus now.

Also remember tolerating "Picture of You" and "All That I Need."
 
My mother has brainwashed my little brother with No Matter What. She played it non stop for 6 months back then. It's a good song.
 
All singularly AWFUL. All of half decent tracks were covers that were done better by the original artists.

Don't speak ill of the dead and all that but Gately truly was a WEAK SPOKE in an already ROPEY wheel. No talent whatsoever and he didn't seem very PLEASANT either.

We even have the same #1 Lou - A Different Beat is a great song.
 
Who is it that does the fuck awful spoken bit in 'A Different Beat'?
 
They wouldn't let any of the others even SPEAK on their songs? :D
 
I think Keith did some spoken word work in Coming Home Now but as I'm not a true fan I couldn't really say for sure

I always loved Father and Son :disco:

though Different Beat was my retarded teen ambition - I thought it would be a good ambition to have to see the rain in africa, touched the snow in alaska and felt the mist of niagara. I MANAGED 2/3

I wonder if this is why I feel like i want to go to Alaska :confused:
 
Can we work out what's in this thread that inspired us to get 30 visitors today? I'd assume we'd be no more popular than the other million sites talking about Boyzone at the moment...

Yeah there really should have been an option for “they’re all absolute shite”

Even Westlife weren’t as bad as this, and they were BAD
 
I think Westlife possibly had slightly better songs. But Boyzone didn't have Mark caterwauling all over them, so swings and roundabouts.
