It was the comeback a lot of Moopers had been waiting for and many had given up hope of ever seeing. But how has 'A' endured as an album for you?

I always found it a 6. There's a couple of great songs but on the whole its quite middling, sadly. "Dance Your Pain Away" SHOULD have been the blueprint...

Still, it's done brilliantly and I hope she carries on

After the initial excitement I must admit I found the album a bit underwhelming, but thanks to Radio 2 hammering the singles I stuck with it and it really grew on me. It's not in any way groundbreaking, but it's a really superior collection of tasteful MOR IMO, and absolutely the right kind of thing for her to come back with.

Back On Your Radio is shite though.

I think I will listen to it on the journey home and report back. I've not listened to it as a whole album for a long time.

I'm pleased she DIDN'T use 'Dance Your Pain Away' as the blueprint, as much as I enjoy it. For one, it's clear it's not what she wants to be doing, and it's just too damned gay for a whole album. Would I like another track or two of that ilk (or at least of that tempo) on the album though? Absolutely. I agree with VoR that it's exactly the sort of thing she should have come back with, but I would appreciate a bpm gearshift once or twice.

I really DO think she'll follow it up as well, you know. I think there's a good chance in 2015 or 16 we could see another album. Not that I've heard any rumblings in fanworld, just that I got the impression that she genuinely enjoyed (or at least didn't hate :D) the process this time around.

She fucking PERFORMED, which had to be the most UNDERWHELMING MOMENT in gay music history, despite the ANTICIPATION.
