When IS JESC this year? I need to pencil it into my diary so I know when to pre-order the Viagra* and love doll

*NOT THAT I NEED IT I HASTEN TO ADD. Just adds a little va va voom and downstairs department interest for the locals when I nip out during the interval for Frazzles

It's going to be an early GIFT the Sunday before Christmas :disco:

I didn't realise that one of the producers of Voyage, Johan Renck, was Stakko Bo.

Does anyone else sing "ABBA Voyage" to the tune of "Happy New Year" every time they see this thread title?

Just me? Ok then.

With the French pronunciation, of course

I’ve seen some speculation that I Could Be That Woman is in fact this song from a musical B&B did a few years back.

Not outside the realm of possibility since they seem to have recycled/reworked a couple of the songs already and I can hear Agnetha singing it.

It’s lovely, although, I hope they dial down the musical theatre just a tad…

Yes I saw that. I'm not averse to it, with a change of production to alter the overall sensibility of it a little.

There's some sort of online event the day of album release. Don't think it's official but I'll definitely drop in to whatever it is.

I assume moopy is also doing some form of album listening party.

I pass by it several times a week on the train. It would be twice a day if I was going to the office. You get a good view from the TfL Rail trains. I can’t wait for the logo to go up.

Reports from popjustice forums that Just A Notion is being released next week.

The same Popjustice source (who has been reliable so far) says that quite a few elements of the old 70s demo for Just A Notion have been used, including the chorus vocals, which seems a bit like CHEATING if you ask me, but whatever I’m sure it’ll be good.

I quite like the idea of the old vocal against the new one.

Following Kyssen/I Still Have Faith In You and this it will be interesting to see if there are any other examples of Benny recycling/repurposing previously used sections of songs or melodies.

I’ve seen fairly educated guesses that this could be Little Things:

I didn't realise ISHFIY and DSMD both disappeared from the Radio 2 playlist last week until I noticed they both started dropping heavily on iTunes after stabilising for a few weeks. I think sending a new track out is probably a good idea.

I do hope they have something else lined up promo wise, though.

I'll take that, as long as Frida is Tommy, not Bjorn.

Is that the only other BAO song we've seen suggested, or is there another one?

It’s the only one that I’ve seen, although there is the song from that musical that’s been suggested as I Can Be That Woman.

Oh yes, the Hjälp Sökes one.

I guess you can hardly blame Benny for (potentially) reusing all those songs. It's not like he's had very long to get this album done :basil:

Tickets to December 2022 being released November 3rd.

And if you've already pre-ordered from amazon (or do so by 5pm on 27th October), there's a pre-sale for the new dates on November 1st.

Not entirely sure how necessary it is, given that there's still reasonably good availability for most existing dates.

And there's a 'no purchase necessary' again as well.
