RPDR UK S3 E1

Second time she’d getting called motherly here. Why exactly, because she was carrying sandwiches? :D
:D It's just a quality she has! And just not because she's cisgender female among a group of men. She just seems warm and like she'd be a good listener. Think she might struggle with being shady though.

It's totally a different energy, and I'm very much here for it. Not even necessarily from her - just from someone to shake things up a bit.

Am I right in thinking that despite the 'Elmination day' cut, everything in this episode was actually filmed in a single day?

Wasn't it all filmed in like a week? Cant remember where I read about the whole thing being filmed at breakneck speed (here?).

It really would be a crying shame if the rumours are true and this amazing cast end up getting squandered on a rush-job season that doesn't give them any chance to shine.

There was a clear cut to a second entrance and I don’t think they would have been able to film all the entrances and the runways in one day. Wasn’t the rumor that they filmed each episode in 2 days instead of 3?

He was in a play in London at the time, I think? Presumably he has contacts among the UK queens... I'd always take him with a pinch of salt though.

We both said yesterday how funny would it be if the Brighton queen went home first again :eyes:

They pretty much skimmed over her Brighton Pier look as if it was passable but I thought it much worse than her aquarium look. I didn't get what it was meant to be at all. Joe Black's Pavilion look at least had an ounce of (the inside of) the Pavilion to it!

I didn't think either of her runway looks was that bad (well, or that good), but her entrance look was poor.

I certainly think she 'deserved' it more than Joe did last year.

Started watching this and then snuck off to bed. The same old tired tropes. I either want Jimbo level or NOTHING

Bit rough to launch with two sob stories (never my favourite thing about this show) and two covid related stories too.
I normally can’t stand them, but really didn’t mind River Medway’s - I don’t know how she does it and didn’t burst into tears showing off her mum’s jacket.

Chorizo’s comments about loneliness and her joy of hugging someone felt very genuine and touching.

The less said about Anubis’s the better.

Has Charity Kase been on something before? I’m sure I’ve seen those facial tattoos somewhere.

Honestly it was such a weird concept. My love…Estonia

Was it that weird? He said he loved there for five years and his boyfriend's from there so he loves it.

It was a damn sight more interesting than "I like music". I think we might have an intelligent queen on our hands. :disco:

I really enjoyed this, especially the losing lipsync.

East London, Dagenham and Croydon are all beautiful boys.

I thought Victoria was a shoe in for bottom 2.

The winners lip sync clearly needed to burst, however abruptly, into the Nicki Grench version if not from the start.

Scone has this in the bag, but I like her a lot so far and don't care if it stays looking obvious.

Whoever is pretending they're not Gothy Kendoll Gothy Kendoll had a great first runway. I was hoping Ru to declare no one the winner of that lip sync, but the song is just not the one for the occasion (the last time I heard it I was completely over it anyway and it really does just sound like rocks falling on you when trapped in such a listening experience).

As ever, this was a delight.

Anubis calling herself camp was serving deluded Karlie Kloss before the 2019 Met Gala - for this reason she struck me as slightly doomed early on.

Electra definitely ropey but I enjoyed the energy - she would definitely try and sell you drugs in the pub after talking to you for three minutes. I thought they were too harsh on the little girl look - it was beautifully demented.

Thought Kitty Scott Claus got off pretty lightly - her looks were both pretty basic and the hometown one was quite poorly executed.

Plenty of them do, yes.
Yep, there's definitely a section of the Drag Race fandom who have an issue with misogyny (particularly towards lesbians), so I'm quite curious to see the reception towards Victoria as the series continues.

She reminded me of Bradley, one half of that X Factor duo who fell out over uncooked chicken.

Bradley and Ottavio really were men out of time - before X Factor they had already done the rounds on whatever low-rent reality nonsense would have them, if they had been around 5-10 years later they could have just become drag queens and done DRUK instead.
