If I wanted second-rate karaoke anyway, Moldova (at least for a while) does a good job of that. If hopeless Kitty and random Spanish lady showing there didn't certify that. :D
 
Andromeda was the first song I bought on iTunes since Spirit in the Sky. It’s on Spotify as well now (in the Netherlands at least).
 
Everyone else must be listening to a different Andromeda, all I get is random sounds smushed together.

This started at 7:40 pm and is still dragging on almost 5 hours later. They’ve only just got through the last song.

I suspect they won’t have the results for another few hours at this rate. :eyes:

The jury HATED the big favourites. They had Rancore third LAST or something, so it's gonna take a lot for him to win. Last time around, Mahmood started off badly, but that was due to the public votes, which I think are more easily to change than the jurry.

I guess Pinguinis or Elodie are the faves at the moment? Despite Francesco Gabbani winning the jury vote, I don't see him winning again so soon. His song is fine but it's not amazing.

Tbh I think she was really nervous - she never sings live and usually mimes every performance (can’t think why :eyes:).

The song was a bit limp by her standards. I was expecting a full on slut anthem aka ‘Pem Pem’.
 
Another highlight is the backing singer bloke closest to the camera at 0:57 who’s like WHY THE FUCK AM I BOTHERING WITH THIS SHIT :disco:
 
Little Reet Pavone is the highlight for me. The lyrics are garbage but she don't half give it some welly.

A GIN SOAKED LOVELY living her best life at the working men's club karoke night. Becoming more UNHINGED with every passing second.

Pretty much, especially since televoting on the final night only counts for 17% of the final outcome :D (34% is usually the public vote in the past, but this year 17% of that comes from a demoscope sample jury)
 
Wonder if that reduced televoting power is due to a certain heritor possibly DRIVING into a crushing victory. :D
 
So this year's PREPOSTEROUS format sees all the songs performing tonight but only the Press Jury will vote (25% of the total score to decide the top 3).

Tomorrow they all perform again with the press jury, demoscopic and public all voting. The top 3 will be decided by this and the cumulative scores over the previous four nights - including the duets on the third evening where they sang covers of previous Sanremo entries rather than their own song.

The press jury (33%), demoscopic jury (33%) and public vote (34%) will then vote again to select the winner from the top 3.

I mean, I can’t complain about such a ridiculously convoluted voting process, as last year it overrode the ENTIRE NATION and gave us Soldi and living legend Mahmood :disco:

Let’s hope they pull through again in 2020 :D
 
Francesco Gabbani, Le Vibrazioni and Piero Pelù are currently top 3. 'Andromeda' is currently 7th, behind a couple of the other favourites. Elodie's cover song was voted 18th out of 24 by the orchestra vote last night so she's fallen back a little.

Elodie needs a good result tonight. Judging how it is doing on Spotify/iTunes and Youtube views, it should near the top of the public vote tomorrow.
 
She's the granddaughter of the founder of the Lamborghini sport cars, she's must be damn rich. If she doesn't win this year, which I seriously doubt it, she'll compite next year for San Marino :disco:
 
So apparently some highly entertaining DRAMA went down last night, with this duo breaking up live onstage.

Apparently (an Italian fluent viewer will maybe be able to explain it better) their cover version the previous night came last and was highly criticised, so for last night one of the singers changed the lyrics to their entry to basically vent their frustration at their singing partner, who understandably took umbrage and walked off stage!



They've been disqualified.
 
Morgan (the one with the grey hair) has always been controversial/an arsehole. He’s a former coke addict who loves drama.

Anyway during the cover version night, Morgan wanted to sing and conduct the orchestra however the orchestra rejected his proposals about 8-9 times as it would be impossible for them play the music he was proposing. In the end they reached a compromise but not before he sent a letter threatening to boycott the show and that he was being sabotaged by everyone.

Long story short, their cover was an utter mess as they’d barely rehearsed and it was ranked last at the end of the voting by the orchestra. Morgan moaned behind the scenes that Bugo ruined the song and sang over his parts etc.

Last night Morgan announced just before going on stage that he’d changed some of the lyrics to their song. Bugo was unhappy as he had no idea about the new lyrics and was basically pushed onto the stage by the production team. Apparently both were arguing back stage with Bugo spitting at Morgan.

Morgan’s new lyrics criticised Bugo for his arrogance and ingratitude and that he wouldn’t have made it to the Sanremo stage if it wasn’t for him, so Bugo stormed off.

There’s a lot of noise being made about it in the press as no one has ever walked off stage mid-performance before or been disqualified during a show in the 70 years Sanremo has been running.
 
Elettra has some of the weirdest piercings I've seen on a woman. Of course all 150.000€ diamonds.
